The Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center is a non-profit agency operating through grants from the Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children and United Way of the Pennyrile.

Mission & Vision

The Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center (PCAC) provides support and services to victims of child abuse and their non-offending family members/caretakers. We offer a child-friendly environment that ensures a child’s safety, health, and well-being. The mission is made possible through the collaborative efforts of the various professionals that must intervene when a child discloses abuse.

The PCAC starts with the idea that no one agency or professional can prevent and treat the crime of child sexual and physical abuse. Rather, it takes a multi-disciplinary team of professionals in law enforcement, child protective services, medical, legal, and mental health working jointly to advocate for the rights of a child.

It is our mission to minimize any additional trauma to a child by coordinating these important services at one location where the needs of the child remain the primary priority. Our primary goal is to ensure that children are not further victimized by the intervention systems designed to protect them.Click edit button to change this text.Click edit button to change this text.Click edit button to change this text.Click edit button to change this text.
