The Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center will be holding its 4th Annual Mardi Gras Dinner at the James E. Bruce Convention Center on Saturday, March 28 at 7:00 PM. There is no cost to attend, but donations will be accepted in addition to the silent auction.
The event will be held to raise funds for services provided to children who have been allegedly sexually or severely physically abused. The Pennyrile Children’s Advocacy Center serves children in Christian, Caldwell, Crittenden, Todd, Trigg, Livingston, Lyon, Hopkins, and Muhlenberg counties. The PCAC provides support and services to victims of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse and their non offending family members. It is our Center’s mission to minimize any additional trauma to a child by coordinating law enforcement, child protective services, mental health, court/legal and advocacy services at one location where the needs of the children remain the primary priority.
We extend to you the opportunity to assist us in this fundraiser in hopes that you will recognize the importance of child sexual abuse awareness, prevention, and the services necessary to help families through such trying times. Last fiscal year the PCAC served more than 300 children through forensic interviews, specialized child sexual abuse medical exams, therapy, and advocacy services. We hope that this opportunity to give back to the children of our community is of interest to you and that you would be willing to support our efforts by attending or becoming a partner by sponsoring our Mardi Gras Dinner.
Anyone interested in attending the fundraiser or becoming a partner by sponsoring the event can call 270-881-1111 or visit us on Facebook for more information.
